Republic of Texas Biker Rally

Coming up on June 13 through 16, Austin will host the event that motorcycle enthusiasts wait for all year – the Republic of Texas (ROT) Biker Rally. The big bash on Friday night will begin when what has been called “the longest parade of motorcycles known to mankind” roars into the downtown district. Following the grand parade, the streets will be blocked to traffic, creating an environment for a biker party that will feature a concert by headliner bands.

Aside from an array of concerts, the 4-day event will involve much more. One of the most popular attractions is a Hot Rods and Classic Cars Show on Saturday, which will include Thundebirds and classic Chevys. Another exciting highlight is Mexico’s Motorcycle Acrobats, a riveting show involving stunts like forming human pyramids.

If you want a break from the high-octane entertainment of the ROT Rally, head over to Zilker Hillside Theater on at 7:30 on June 16 for a relaxing outdoor concert involving Broadway tunes, marches and classics. Austin offers something for everyone, including music that caters to every taste.
