Texas Attractions: Circuit of the Americas Track

Circuit of the Americas is a state-of –the-art facility that hosts some of the most prestigious car racing events in the world. Its construction less than two years ago generated much interest and excitement among fans of this sport, and it is now considered one of Austin’s foremost attractions. On March 1 the facility will host practice sessions and qualifying rounds for the March 2 races, including GRAND-AM, Rolex Series and the Continental.

But car racing is only the beginning of Austin’s attractions. While this “Music City” provides ample opportunities to enjoy live music, two in particular stand out – Esther’s Follies and Austin City Limits Live. Esther’s Follies is a unique show that is a winning combination of music, comedy and magic, giving audiences a superlative entertainment experience. Austin City Limits is recorded in Moody Theatre, a venue designed so that every seat in this house gets incredible sound. Tours can be purchased for $8.

  1. There is a new RV Park Campground across from the ticket gates at Circuit of the Americas RV Camping sites with hookups, hot showers and nice trees. It’s pet friendly and clean.
